Performance Breakthroughs

A new year is upon us!  Take inventory of your performance breakthroughs in 2017.  Did you have any?  After viewing your list, what performance breakthroughs do you want for 2018.  Pick five (combination of business, social, and private).

Here are some of my major performance breakthroughs for 2017:

1.  I created videos of me delivering my programs and loaded them onto YouTube and my website.

2.  I created four workbooks, one for business/education and three for sports.

3.  I graduated with a masters in human resource development from Clemson University.

4.  I can hit all the shots in tennis.

5.  I played in a basketball league and we made the playoffs.

6.  Mentoring a child at my elementary school.

7.  I created a training and learning on-line assessment for clients and prospects to have a better understanding of why and how to forward their performance.

My Five Performance Breakthroughs for 2018:

1.  Add another sustainable client

2.  Upgrade my marketing with more videos

3.  Complete my new book

4.  Mentoring a child at my elementary school

5.  Deliver my keynote to a select group

6.  Teach another course

7.  Stick with my nutrition and exercise with variety

Innovation and Entrepreneurial Leadership

Are you helping your employees to innovate and backing it with resources to create valued outcomes and financial progress?

“The Zone” Effect

By many “the zone” effect is described as everything is in slow motion, time stands still (isn’t a deterring factor), and your performance feels effortless.

I watched the Philadelphia 76ers play the Los Angeles Lakers.  What did I see?  Players making their specific independent play comprising the team’s play.  Too often, I see teams excluding teammates on the floor instead of including them in the team’s play.  Learn to play the right way to make it easier, funner, and better.

Your Most Recent “The Zone” Effect

Here’s an exercise for you?  You have a team comprising of ten people.  Let’s say five perform at a time.  Therefore, there are five watching.  When watching you need to watch to see where you insert your knowledge and skill to perform.  You have a team when combinations of five including your top one, two, or three players rotate and there is no drop in performance.  Is your team at this level of performance?

That’s “The Zone” Effect. Are you experiencing your “The Zone” Effect?
