10 Easier Tips for Home, Job, and Work Success Living With A Mental Health Condition

To help you with mental health continuum in your organization. As a very strong mental health advocate this is my solution to learn how to make it easier. This is at home and in the workplace in addition to the right treatment (with or without medication) and/or the right therapy.

Solution:

1. Employers allow people with a mental health condition to work with highly individually customized (reasonable) accommodations, right support system, and right support services .  It’s very rewarding making an employee’s life better and benefit doing so because they continue to deliver a good job and good work for you in a capacity that benefits everyone involved.

2. Have dreams and goals for your life and work.  See yourself successful.

3.  Learn how to control your emotion using right thinking if having intrusive thoughts or images using your wisdom.

Phrases: “I control emotion.”, “I don’t see that.” or “Don’t see that”, “I don’t hear that.” or “Don’t hear that”. 

4.  Listen to the right people.  

5. Listen to your body

6. Easier nutrition (no refined sugar, limit or no caffeine, 3-4 servings of fruit and veggies, 8 glasses of water, limit or no fried foods, limit or no alcohol, limit or no cheese, limit dessert, limit or no candy, limit or no late night eating)

7. Walk/Exercise and/or Run in a way towards your fitness goals without injury. Answer: What will be easier for you to do with you being fit?

8. Meditate for an hour daily. Feel your neurotransmitters and endorphins flow through your body.

9. Read to learn something for at least 20 minutes a day and apply the learning.

Consistently Perform: Experiencing Intelligent Breakthroughs In Your Performance & Life

Do Mastery (Daily Performance and Life)  =  Learn to know why & how to do it —> Talk about it before and after doing it —> Feel while doing it —> Close eyes while doing it —> Add to it —> You have mastery of it

The best way to experience breakthroughs is by doing what you want a breakthrough in daily.  It’s the cumulative effect of daily training (practice) for shorter periods of time than doing it for hours at a time.  This process has a much greater effect than cramming hours of training and not feeling fulfillment, fun, and enjoyment and getting down on yourself for not experiencing a breakthrough.  To experience a breakthrough faster, do what you are doing with “more feel”, “close your eyes” while doing it, and talk out loud about what you are doing before and after doing it.  After you know how to do it, experience breakthroughs by using the techniques and tips of:

  1. Daily training (practice) for shorter periods of time
  2. Doing it with “more feel” since you already know how to do it
  3. “Close your eyes” while doing it
  4. Talk out loud about what you are doing before and after doing it

After you experience a breakthrough, add to it for the next level of success or if you’ve mastered it pick something else to experience a breakthrough in.  Anything you do having a mentality of working on breakthroughs will make your performance and life better.

Apply this strategy to all aspects of your life: family, dreams, vision, mission, goals, aspirations, job, athletics, income, learning, spiritual, athletics, friends, and social

By many “the zone” effect is described as everything is in slow motion, time stands still (isn’t a deterring factor), and your performance feels effortless.

I experienced a breakthrough in my basketball ball handling.  What made a huge difference is I already know how to do it and was using too much of my mental capacity of knowing.  When I used my mental capacity to “feel” since I already know it I experienced a breakthrough.  Adding to my mental capacity to feel I closed my eyes to feel more.  I experienced another breakthrough.  Then, I added other moves to my ball handling.

When I know I’ve mastered it, I won’t have to work on it anymore.

Why Listen To A Speaker?

Last week I attended an event where people spoke about their solution for a better living and better future.  Afterwards, we took a break and as I networked with people I asked a few people what were the main points of a specific speaker.  None of them could tell me.  Therefore, it prompted me to write my post on why, how, and what to do when listening to a speaker.

Why?

When listening to a speaker, know why you are listening and discover why the speaker is saying what they say.

How?

Listen to how the speaker acknowledges, honors, what are the main points, examples, and stories.

What To Do?

What does the speaker do to connect with the audience.  When a speaker connects that means the audience uses emotional intelligence to take this experiential learning and apply it to benefit their situation and benefit extension by telling someone about the speaker and event. Throughout your life you will be able to recall specifics about the speaker and message (it moved you, an example, phrases, sound bites, stories, or statistics) you’ll use at the right time (often and sometimes for decades) to help you succeed in what you are doing.

I recall speakers and their message, examples, phrases, sound bites, stories, or statistics throughout my life.  It has a cumulative effect and I recall it when needed at the perfect time.  The is the real value of listening to a speaker.

When you have this frame of mind each time you hear someone speak you receive an experiential learning credit.

If their is an internal or external conflict you are experiencing when listening to a speaker, here is my advanced performance and life conflict resolution and idea generation tool.  Speaking is the highest form of experiential learning from a person.

My Tennis Coach Manuel Was At The Tennis Court

My teammates said, “there’s Manuel.  He’s coming.”  My tennis coach, Manuel, walked by the fence and I asked him “Coach, did you bring your workbook?”  He left it at home.  Then we played and coach was encouraging.

He asked what have you been doing to play so well?  I said, completing my Your Raise The Bar Primer: Mental Performance Tools workbook.  He said yes, but how the rapid increase in skill.  I said, in addition to the workbook I’ve been using my private advanced mental performance breakthroughs skills coaching sessions. People pay for that.

Then, he evaluated me instead of giving me feedback.  He said, I like this (the proportionally increasing line) using his finger, then he leveled it, and then it went downward.  He said the increasing and level is better.  You lost focus on the downward part.  Then, he said, “be careful”.

While using my workbook to evaluate my performance and to write what I am working on for more “win fun tennis”, I reflected on how I could “be careful”.  On the downward part, I wasn’t using my new focus technique before serving the ball and my mind’s eye.   I’m looking forward to my deliberate practice session to practically apply what I learned and to my next match.

Meaningful Forward Performance Motivation and Inspiration

Win your personal best records and as one constantly does their best consistently they will continue to learn to perform better at what they are doing. On a given day it might be you won a meaningful award and money. It’s this essential aspiration to learn how to win personal best records to perform better at what you are doing that makes what you do meaningful, fun, rewarding, and enjoyable. One will never maximize this if they only work on performance technique. They also need to work on their mental performance skills to transform their performance and innovation/entrepreneurial leadership in business/education, work, sports, and life.

Creative Innovation Tools

You are doing the above and there is still burnout.  Why?  Because you aren’t innovating to win personal best records since the innovation(s) you have need to continue to develop, build, grow, and/or become what makes you unique and different.  There are creative innovation tools to help your neuroplasticity mind.  Some say we use one percent to ten percent of our mind’s ability.  So that means there’s ninety percent not being used.  I posit there is an “endless amount not being used” since you have a neuroplasticity brain.

So now that you understand this concept and are using creative innovation tools why still the burnout?  Because entrepreneurial leadership isn’t being exhibited in a meaningful financial (monetize) way because the financial mechanisms (funding and resources), reward mechanisms, incentive mechanisms, and partnering mechanisms were at one time the best, however, now they also need creative innovation(s).

Three questions to transform your business:

1.  Are you using your current strategies and innovations to win personal best records?

2.  Does your team have an innovation process to create innovation(s)?  This isn’t just for individuals in management.

3.  Why don’t you work on innovating your business with unique and different entrepreneurial leadership for meaningful better outcomes creating financial mechanisms (funding and resources), reward mechanisms, incentive mechanisms, and partnering mechanisms for forward performance?

Learn how to learn and apply the learning to continue going through living a robust life.  It’s meaningful, fun, rewarding, and enjoyable.  It’s important to include fun business outings and activities/sports/games on company time for social/networking with each other to get to know each other.  Why?  Because it makes it easier to transform your business with performance and innovation/entrepreneurial leadership.
